Remember Saturday, September 27, 2008?

On that very date I said that I thought Sarah Palin was "a hoot."
See for yourself, you can look back at my oldest blog posts, that thing really happened.
I'm totally over it, she no longer, and really hasn't for quite sometime, I'd say years, qualifies as "a hoot."
Here is a simple theory on why we are still talking about this bitch nearing the end of 2010:
there are so many ego driven baby boomers (seventy-six million) who are so desperately afraid of what might happen when they, en masse, become very old, that they are willing to vote this obvious lunatic into ultimate power because her seemingly minuscule grasp of concepts such as action v. consequence, cause v. effect, will lead her to pick up that red phone and say something like, "let 'er rip!" at a pin drop, launching a nuclear holocaust, thus effectively eliminating the prospect of old age for this particular group of Americans.
As my uncle says, and I am paraphrasing here, 'I'm ready for that inevitability- I disagree with everything she stands for, but if she's willing to end it all, she's got my vote.'
I think in the photograph she is throwing up the gang sign for , "I'm fucking crazy."

Dear Tea Partier,

When next we speak of your undying belief that the federal governmental system is f**king You in the a** daily - giving cause for an armed uprising, the likes of which no one has seen since the civil war (read - the south will rise again?), please, do not follow by saying you just worked out at the VA gym, got a free physical exam and purchased your groceries at below wholesale cost from the commissary with your SSD check. You see no irony in your revolution, and it truly baffles.
I can assure you, I really, really, really, don't want to hear it. Really. I sincerely do not.
Respectfully,
S

Today I had a thought. . .Just for shits, while we're at it - how bout a national ballot on whether or not to overturn womens suffrage? Seriously, why bother having all this legal mumbo jumbo, all this political hoo haa - everything from now on should be put to the public opinion poll and turned into law. Go America!

It'll be really easy - the president (voted in by whomever retains voting rights, after the great voting right referendums of 2011), like a school principal, will just announce outcomes from all random ass referendums voted upon by the general population over a national PA system, we'll have a single police force to enforce the will of the people on to the people and it'll be like Real Live Freedom! Now that's what I call democracy, who's with me!??

btw - I'm running for president starting now, please send all campaign donations to sarahforpresident2012@gmail.com

The Creepy Time Traveler and His Child Bride

How this movie ever passed a screen test is beyond my grasp. Okay, so my lady and I were broiling hot on a muggy August night in NYC and decided to take a risk and go blindly into an air conditioned movie theater to see some mindless entertainment. Had to be better than wasting away moaning and groaning in our oven like apartment, yes? No.
No, not at all. We rolled into our favorite very cold local movie theater with the most comfortable chairs, sat down with our free popcorns, via our Regal Crown Club Card™ and sat back to hopefully be whisked away on some sort of magical adventure.
No. We suffered through 107 minutes of maybe the worst pile of schlock we had ever seen. Complete with a three note string section sound track that was laid on so thick it was nearly impossible to hear the dialogue, this movie was filled wretched moments of pregnant pauses followed by what we are supposed to believe are "sayings"? I'm not sure. It was Really weird.
The plot line is basically about a creep that stalks a little girl and tricks her into eventually marrying him, it was gross. The final scene was stupid. Schlock, sap.
